These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you", or "your") and DriverLite Ltd ("DriverLite", "we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of the DriverLite website, mobile applications, and all related services (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using our Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email or Platform notification.
To use DriverLite, you must be at least 16 years old. Users aged 16-17 must have parental or guardian consent. Instructor accounts require a valid Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) badge or trainee licence issued by the DVSA. By registering, you represent and warrant that all information you provide is accurate, current, and complete, and that you will maintain the accuracy of such information.
You must register for an account to access most Platform features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@driverlite.com if you suspect any unauthorised access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, contain false information, or pose a security risk. You may not create multiple accounts, share your account, or transfer your account to another person without our written consent.
DriverLite provides a marketplace platform that connects learner drivers with independent driving instructors. We are not a driving school, employer, or agent.
For Learners: Our Platform enables you to search for instructors, view profiles and reviews, book lessons, purchase lesson packages, make secure payments, and track your learning progress.
For Instructors: Our Platform provides tools to manage your student roster, set your own availability and pricing, create custom lesson packages, receive payments, communicate with students, and track your earnings.
Important: DriverLite does not provide driving instruction. Instructors on the Platform are independent professionals, not employees or agents of DriverLite. We do not control, and are not responsible for, the quality, safety, timing, or legality of lessons provided by instructors.
Booking Confirmation: A booking is confirmed once the learner receives a confirmation notification through the Platform. Both parties are expected to honour confirmed bookings.
Cancellation by Learners: Learners may cancel a booking free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the lesson may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the lesson price, at the instructor's discretion. No-shows without cancellation may be charged the full lesson fee.
Cancellation by Instructors: Instructors may cancel a booking at any time, but repeated cancellations may result in reduced visibility on the Platform or account suspension. Instructors must provide as much notice as possible.
Rescheduling: Both parties may request to reschedule a lesson through the Platform. Rescheduling is subject to mutual agreement and the instructor's availability.
Lesson Payments: All payments for lessons and packages must be processed through the Platform. Direct cash payments between learners and instructors are not permitted for bookings made through DriverLite.
Platform Fees: DriverLite charges a service fee on each transaction. Current fee rates are displayed on the Platform before you confirm a booking or accept a student. We reserve the right to modify our fee structure with 30 days' notice.
Instructor Payouts: Instructor earnings are paid out on a weekly basis via bank transfer. A minimum payout threshold may apply. Detailed earnings breakdowns are available in your instructor dashboard.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Learners may request a refund for lessons that did not take place due to instructor cancellation or no-show. Refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of the scheduled lesson. DriverLite's service fee may be non-refundable in certain circumstances.
Taxes: You are responsible for any taxes arising from your use of the Platform, including income tax and VAT (for instructors). DriverLite does not provide tax advice.

DriverLite reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines or our community standards. We do not edit reviews but may investigate disputed reviews and take appropriate action. Manipulation of the review system, including fake reviews, review exchanges, or incentivised reviews, is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination.

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as required by law or legitimate business purposes, as described in our Privacy Policy.
DriverLite may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. Outstanding payment obligations survive termination.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and DriverLite.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. DriverLite may assign these Terms without restriction.
